The CNY long weekend was over in a flash. It was so quick that I can't even recall what I did during the weekend. All I could remember was visiting after visiting in the 2 days of CNY.
We managed to squeeze visits to 7 homes on Day 1. In sequence, Bodmin, Tampines, Toa Payoh, SG, AMK, Yishun, Chin Swee. Gave out about $500 worth of angbaos. Whatever makes the receivers happy I guess. It was great fun meeting up with cousins and playing stupid mahjong and card games.
One uncle asked what's for entertainment this Sat when the extended family's comes over. "Any mahjong?" Sorry folks, mahjong and card games are permissible where there is no wager involved. Do the Chinese only congregate if there is gambling? 要这么多钱干吗？
