15 November 2006 - Kuala Lumpur

Sungei Chongkak + hot spring in Hulu Langgat + KLCC + Dataran Merdeka

The water at the hot spring burns my body but I nevertheless continue to bathe in it. Supposed to be good for blood circulation and all. Think it's crap la, but still does it anyway.

Mama has a son and a daughter, Sheraa, 22, male, and Lydia, 24, female. But that din stop her from also adopting 3 other girls who have since married, and a boy Alif, who is now five. She said she likes children, hence why she is hosting for SSEAYP as well. She works in a school canteen selling food for the children.A woman with simple possessions and a big heart.

It rained again on the night we went off for homestay. The trail of memories came flooding back again. What's new on a rainy day huh?

Sheraa, being the Malay ah-beng that he is, has his tiger-possessed car continuously filled with jamming rock / metal music, machiam in a discotheque the whole time. I'm shutting myself to it.
And he likes to talk to me. Asked me quite some questions thru 'interpreter' G-man. Quite amusing. Even wanted my mobile number and opened the car door for me to sit behind the driver's seat! "Singapore, sit behind." Haha. I suspect it is so that he can see me better through the rear-view mirror. I purposely sink lower into the seat. So that he can't see me!!
It poured on the way from the carpark to KLCC. Shared a brolly with him with which he commented 'like a couple'. When I was texting on my phone, he asked if I was messaging my boyfriend…

Si ginna Bxxxxx. I SWEAR we must have waited at least an hour for him at TESCO!!! At the end of the day, we returned home at 1.30 am caught in the rain, worn out from the waiting, and too cold to shower. And my poor mama lost her voice at the end of the day.
When we apologized for imposing on her, Mama just kept repeating in her limited English that it's just for 3 days, and not 3 weeks.

What I last remembered from a TV ad at home in Msia - 'What you view will change your view in life'. Point taken.
