Winter time

1 week more, and it is OFFICIALLY winter. Counting the months and days since we've gotten here, it still strucks me how only almost 4 months have passed. It seems 4 years!

As I flipped through the lesson plans since September, it dawned on me that I've barely been seriously teaching (minus the August period of intensive practice for Sports Day) for 2.5 months. And I'm already feeling the strain and defeatedness from trying to come up with more and more creative stuff to do with 3 year olds.

The impending Christmas party presentation / performance is an added challenge. How and what am I capable of getting my 3 year olds to put up? I can't even get them to listen to me properly. And I seriously think The Great Pretender hates me.

As winter and Christmas approaches, the wintry dread and festive mood is a sharp contrast to each other. Like how a great Christmas party could be marred by 3 year-olds' halting performance hiccups. Oh no, rather, marred by an incompetent, untrained and unguided eigo-sensei~
