God has a stronghold in my family

Yesterday's sermon, Acts 16:31
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house"
Pastor said, accepting Christ in your life is to allow God to have a stronghold in your family.

During personal devotion last night, I read Nahum.
1:7 "The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him"
3:14 "Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds"

I looked up the meaning of stronghold on the internet. The Greek word for stronghold, taken literally, means a fortress. A stronghold is a fortfield place, a place of security.

Ahhh, the Lord is my stronghold. Savor that.

  1. Hi sister,

was reading Nahum earlier this morning, wondering what God is saying to me thru this book. and the n i left it as it is.. then now i saw ur blog entry. Hallelujah.

Indeed, the LORD is good and a stronghold in the day of trouble. Don't tell God how big our problem is, tell our problem how big our God is.

Our God is a living God, if we read His word earnestly, He will reveal to us more about Him and the situation around us in His time.

Amen and God Bless, hope ur dad is fine.
