Was just re-reading through another sister's blog and was reminded of this statement.
Pain is a gift from God.
Imagine a body that knows no pain. Not feeling the sensation that runs through the nerves right up to the brains when you're knocked and bruised. Not knowing that the injury needs to be treated and healed.
All because of not knowing pain.
Like the soul and the spirit. We are pained, bruised, injured. But the gift of knowing, feeling and experiencing that aftermath allows us to start the recovery process. IF we allow it.
IF.
Most times, I struggle to pick myself out of an unhappy situation because I like to wallow in self-pity. Constantly telling myself to escape and flee from a stifling environment. Allowing the temporal mindset to rule my emotions and way of doing things. Justifying it with greater pursuits and concerns in life than what is presented to me.
Wow.
Act high class. Think I'm superior. Above the mere mortals of this world. Hehe.
Anyways, life's getting hectic. The lethal formula of work + wedding preps + reno + lousy rest all leads down to low tolerance level and highly-focused (aka impatience) in getting things done. No nonsense, delays, unconstructive feedback is permitted. Try me, and bear the consequences.
What is left after 1 October? Will there be a sense of loss? A lack of direction? Purpose of life terminated?
Gotta find a new project to work on after 1 October.
After 1 0ctober 2oo8
