We Survived 16 April

The 1st disaster struck on 16 April. No measurement can be made on this catastrophe as there is no prior benchmark. But there will always be a first, and without a first, we'd always be rubbing our hands in anticipation of it happening. So, there goes.

As natural disasters can never be prevented, the post-mortem ought to focus on recovery and improvement. What are the learning points? Mitigating factors? Immediate course of action? Who should lead the efforts? Can pride hinder the progress?

I've almost forgotten that choosing to stay in an area where calamities are sure to strike inevitably implies that hurt and damage is to be expected.
