It's Expensive Tea but I Don't Like the Taste

SGFH said I'm a caterpillar feeding on expensive leaves but not liking the taste. Caterpillar? Can I just stay 'me'?

My thoughts tend to be very diversed when I'm bothered. The inital problem bothering me can lead to many other thoughts, emotions, actions totally unrelated (?) to the roots of the issue.

Like how it is in this abbreviated skyscraper. Do I just have not much to do, or am I not enthusiastic enough to ask for more? Am I not interested in the work, or am I just being slothful? Did I go through the same thought process in my previous employments?

"Probably just that there's not much work to do for you. Having work gives you challenges, and completing it gives you a sense of achievement. Which I suppose these are now lacking?"

Yes, I think so. I NEED more work.

Whilst I was doing rather routine stuff when I was with Prof, the day was packed. From the moment I step into the clinic, adrenaline kicks in. With work continuously coming in, I had no time to wonder about anything at all.

In a new job, it is likely that there will be new things to learn with any kind of work assigned. If there's lack of work + guidance... dun sound quite promising.

My next-cubicle colleague's supervisor popped in to find out how he's coping and if he's overloaded with stuff to do. Two thoughts that struck me:
1) My boss has never done that, not that I expect him to;
2) My neighbour (in a different function), though newer than me, is 'overloaded' with stuff to do.

I'd drunk expensive tea before. It can be a lure, but only for so long. And I know the initial atas feel will not prevail. You either acquire the taste of it, or you just hafta change the tea you are drinking, whatever the price.

Expensive, so what. 不好喝嘞。。。
