The tweeting birds that wake us up at 5-ish every morn~
Children playing whenever the weather warms up during winter~
Gas clucking away as someone prepares to shower~
Identifying the prefectures from which cars are being registered as we spot them off the all-too-familiar Route 55~
Single ply toilet paper that melts at your ass, not in your hands~
Daily chimes that goes off in the countryside at 11am, 12pm, and 5pm~
Vending machines at even the most unbelievably obscure nooks, corners and altitudes~
Numerous attempts to make ourselves understand and be understood in Japanese~
And yet, occasionally pretending not to understand the most obvious Japanese no-nos and being THE stupid gaijin...
Thank God for all these blessings! And so much more!
