It started out being a simple exchange program. But we all learn things outta the simplest things that happen to us in our lives. And that's what happened with SSEAYP as well.
Friendship, love, pain... no matter how familiar these are to us, when we encounter them again, we all start from Point Zero.
In the unreal world of Nippon Maru and SSEAYP, tolerance is abundant. The schema of limited time and space allowed everyone onboard the luxury of the mindset of just 'live and let live'. Love all you can, hate all you want, be yourself, be otherwise, be sincere, be hypocritical. Whatever. Coz whatever it is, it just becomes memories onboard ship.
But consequences can trail you back to your real world. And hurt you badly. Blogging may be a good way to relieve some emotions, but can you blog away your tears and pain and thoughts? Ger, you cant de. We alwiz talk about just enjoying the moment, but after that leh? When you can't let go as ideally as you thot you would, you can only blog. And it may not even make you feel better.
Why hasnt he made contact? I'm as perplexed as you are. And I feel the 'pain' as well. Can I do anything for you?
I love what you wrote: "Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction."
Will we all find that person in our lives?
